The Egg chair was originated in the 1950s by Danish architect and designer Arne Jacobsen in 1958 for the SAS Royal Hotel in central Copenhagen, Denmark. This chair was the main focus in the lobby of the Royal hotel. Due to the great impact it had on the public that used the hotel, the Egg chair was manufactured on a larger scale in order to be included in the interiors that we currently see.
